Air Fryer Filet Mignon

Try Air Fryer Filet Mignon for a special meal. This tender cut of beef gets cooked perfectly in the air fryer with simple seasonings.

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Units Scale
  • 2 6ounce filet mignon steaks
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

  1. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Then, unwrap the steaks and place them in a shallow dish. Pat them dry with a clean paper towel.
  3. Then, use a pastry brush or your hands to coat the steaks with the olive oil. Divide the salt and pepper between the tops of the two steaks.
  4. Place steaks in your air fryer and set the time to 8 minutes at 400°F.
  5. Turn the steaks over and set the time to 6 more minutes for medium-rare doneness for a total cooking time of 14 minutes. If you want them to be medium, increase the time to 15-18 minutes total. For well-done, cook them for a total of 18-20 minutes.
  6. Use tongs to transfer the steaks to a serving dish. Let them rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

  1. Some air fryer models needs to be preheated. Please refer to the owner’s manual of your particular model to see if you need to preheat it before using.
  2. Most air fryers can fit up to 3 steaks at a time. Try not to let them overlap if you cook 3 or more at a time.
  3. You can get creative with your seasonings. Feel free to add up to a teaspoon each of dried rosemary, Italian seasoning, or Cajun seasoning to coat the steaks before you cook them.
  4. Store any leftover cooked steak in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
