Air Fried Green Vegetables

I am obsessed with roasting green veggies in the air fryer! So far, I’ve tried broccoli, brussels sprouts, and now asparagus. Read about the benefits of eating green vegetables every day.

I’ve said this before, but I love cooking in the air fryer because it’s easier to make smaller batches and you don’t have to heat up your kitchen. This is like the air fryer I have.

Recipe Highlights

Asparagus is one of my favorite vegetables. It is not bitter at all, and it’s also really healthy. The season for fresh asparagus is from around February through June, although you can also buy frozen asparagus throughout the whole year.

This recipe is:

Recipe Steps

Step One

Start with one bunch of fresh asparagus. Trim off the last inch or two of each spear.

Step Two

Combine the fresh asparagus spears in a medium mixing bowl. Stir in the oil, salt, and pepper.

Step Three

Place the asparagus spears in the basket of your air fryer. Cook them at 315°F for 12 minutes. Serve warm.

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus, about 20 large spears
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the asparagus, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
  2. Pour the mixture into the basket of an air fryer. Set the temperature to 315°F for 12 minutes.
  3. Let the asparagus cook, stopping once halfway to open the basket and toss the asparagus to ensure even cooking.
  4. Transfer the cooked asparagus to a serving bowl and pour over the fresh lemon juice. Serve warm.
