Healthy Side Dish

As we get closer to summer, I’ve been using my air fryer more and more (see all of my air fryer recipes). It’s so convenient for making small batches of food, and I love that it doesn’t heat up the kitchen.

I’ve also been trying harder to eat more vegetables just to try and stay healthy. I’m hopeful that with more of us eating a balanced, clean eating diet, taking appropriate supplements, and practicing other good holistic health habits, then we can get back to normal more quickly. Air Fryer Broccoli

My kitchen is stocked with the just the bare basics these days, but I did get a few heads of broccoli in my bi-weekly farm box. I broke up the broccoli into florets and transformed them into this Crispy Air Fryer Lemon Broccoli recipe for you today.

Recipe Steps

Step One

The first step of this recipe is to add your broccoli florets into a mixing bowl. You’ll need between 2-3 cups of the florets, and I like to try and make them about the same size so that they cook evenly.

Step Two

Then, just stir in some olive oil, salt, and pepper, and pour the florets into the basket of your air fryer.

Step Three

Set the time to 315°F for 12 minutes. Then, when you’re ready to serve, just sprinkle the fresh lemon juice on top of the cooked broccoli. Enjoy warm!

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces broccoli florets, about 2 cups
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ lemon, juiced

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the broccoli florets, olive oil, salt, and pepper. Toss to combine.
  2. Pour the mixture into the basket of an air fryer. Set the temperature to 315°F for 12 minutes.
  3. Let the broccoli cook, stopping once halfway to open the basket and toss the broccoli to ensure even cooking.
  4. Transfer the cooked broccoli to a serving bowl and sprinkle the top with the lemon juice. Serve warm.
