Grain-Free Turmeric Cauliflower Buns
This recipe for grain-free Turmeric Cauliflower Buns is a delicious low-carb alternative to regular dinner rolls. This easy side dish has only four main ingredients and is perfect for paleo and keto diets.
If you’re on a grain-free diet or you’re just cutting back on carbs, then you probably know that cauliflower can be used to substitute everything from potatoes to grains. But, did you ever think that riced cauliflower could be used to make fake dinner rolls that are low-carb, keto, grain-free, and gluten-free?
This delicious, fluffy recipe is made using only four ingredients. It’s super easy to prepare, and can be served as a healthy side dish to almost any main dish.
Recipe Steps
Step One
The first step to making these grain-free Turmeric Cauliflower Buns is to start with two cups of packed cauliflower rice. You can either buy the cauliflower rice already prepared, or you can make it by placing a few cups of cauliflower florets in a food processor.
Step Two
In a medium mixing bowl, combine the cauliflower rice, coconut flour, eggs, and spices.
Step Three
Use your hands to form the cauliflower rice mixture into six bun shapes. Place them on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Step Four
Bake the cauliflower buns in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until the edges are nice and browned.
Step Five
Serve the buns warm, right out of the oven.
FAQs
Can the cooked buns be frozen and re-heated?
Yes, but they are best served right out of the oven.
Can I use almond flour instead of coconut flour?
Yes, but coconut flour is ideal because it helps soak up any excess moisture from the cauliflower rice.

I think these turned out but I’m not sure. They were really compact – are they supposed to be fluffy? Is the 2 cups of cauliflower rice before or after steaming? It was my first try at anything like cauliflower bread/crust. When I made them into bun shapes they stayed together in a ball.
