Recipe Tips

My love for the Instant Pot (I have this one) is still going strong after about 1 1/2 years of using it, and I haven’t even begun to exhaust its possibilities. I only recently learned about cooking pasta in the Instant Pot so I had to try it out for myself.

I used gluten-free white rice noodles for this dish, as well as unsalted chicken bone broth and sprouted almond butter (this one is similar). You can also use peanut butter, but then this dish won’t be paleo-friendly.

I learned through my research that when cooking noodles in the Instant Pot, you need to cut the cooking time on the package in half. Since this recipe includes chicken, I didn’t want to go any less than 10 minutes, so that’s what I did.

Recipe Steps

You’re going to love how easy it is to make Instant Pot noodles. I added chicken, but you could substitute beef or tofu depending on your preferences.

The first step is to cook the chicken and garlic just a little bit using the sauté feature on your Instant Pot.

Next, you’ll add the broth and all the components for the sauce except for the almond butter. The spaghetti noodles go right on top of the other ingredients.

Pop on the lid and set the time to cook on high pressure. Once it’s done cooking, quick-release the pressure, stir in the almond butter and lime juice and enjoy!

Can you cook pasta in a pressure cooker?

Yes! The general rule of thumb for cooking pasta in a pressure cooker is to set the time for half of what is called for on the package. So, if the noodles need to boil for 10 minutes on the stovetop, then you would set the time to 5 minutes in a pressure cooker.
