As much as I love a leisurely morning routine, the reality is that most of us are rushing around most days—frantically trying to get out the door to whatever appointment or obligation that’s waiting. 5 On-the-Go Healthy Breakfast Tips
1. Choose balanced foods.
To go along with a smoothie, I might grab a hard-boiled egg or a handful of granola to enjoy along with it. I’m a big fan of protein in the morning. The Odwalla Zero Sugar Smoothie has 5 grams of plant protein which is a great start.
2. Plan ahead.
If you’re like me, you have the best intentions to meal prep your foods each week and be super prepared. But, when real life gets in the way, I am 100% in support of the convenience of prepared foods that have thoughtful ingredients.

3. Keep it simple.
Again, on busy mornings, something is better than nothing. Studies find that those who eat breakfast have better nutritional intakes and are less likely to overeat the rest of the day. So, whether it’s a piece of fruit, a handful of nuts, or an Odwalla smoothie, just do what you can to get something nourishing in your body.
4. Get variety.
Since we all need both macronutrients (protein, fat, carbs) and micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) at our meals every single day, it’s a good idea to mix up your breakfast foods.
