Even though the latest round of storms here in California have swept in the feeling of winter (mornings below 50 degrees F, brrrr! <—ha ha, we’re wimps), I just checked and winter doesn’t officially start until this coming Sunday.
While we are wet around here:
cold green smoothies are still the norm, served along a steaming cup of cold-press coffee:
I was excited that the frozen organic figs re-appeared at Trader Joe’s:
They help sweeten up the smoothie, although don’t necessarily help with the hue:
Lunch yesterday included an arugula salad with roasted butternut squash:
Sausage for protein:
Dessert was green tea and dark chocolate (unpictured, sorry!).
Dinner was more roasted veggies, this time brussels sprouts, plus some leftover cooked bison and parsley served over white rice:
Stay dry, friends!
