Now’s the time of year when many of us are wanting to make positive changes to our health. Gosh, I so identify with the confusion as to which diet to follow, what changes to make, and simply how to get started.
I think back to when I started my health journey and I thought the world’s healthiest meal was baking a pre-made whole wheat pizza dough topped with tofu. I’m not kidding (apologies to my husband for making him eat that).
Thankfully, my healthy meal planning and execution has come a looooong way since those early days. At this point, I’m pretty good at stocking my kitchen with real food ingredients and throwing together different combinations based on what looks or sounds good. I’m lucky that I have the time to play around with food preparation, but I certainly understand that most people would prefer to have the planning component removed.
This is exactly why I’m so, so excited to help announce the real food meal planning service from my friends Erica and Justin over at Real Simple Good (full disclosure: I joined as an affiliate to the program where I get a commission on purchases)!
I first “met” Erica and Justin through their gorgeous recipes they share on their blog and Instagram. Their recipes are consistent and easy-to-follow, using seasonal ingredients prepared in a healthy, delicious way. When I went to learn more about this talented duo, I was further impressed when I read about Erica’s battle with multiple sclerosis and her focus on using food and lifestyle to manage her disease.
In the trial packet that Erica sent me, there were recipes for Squash Chili, Sweet Potato Quiche, Steak Bowl with Red Pepper Sauce, Paleo Apple Crisp, and more!
Here’s the photo of the Squash Chili:
And, here’s the Paleo Apple Crisp:
You’ll note that the Real Simple Good Meal Planning service focuses on paleo meals, so that means that they do not include gluten, dairy, soy, or legumes. Feel free to read more about the program here.
Plus, all new members get a Starter Kit with a guide, pantry shopping list, and a conversion guide to help with grocery shopping. These tools are a fantastic resource for people just getting started with cooking healthy foods!
Since my work is all about sharing resources and inspiration for healthy living, I’m so, so excited to share this service with you. Let’s make 2017 our healthiest year yet.
