With everything from gale force winds, near-90 degree temps, and now rain in the forecast, it’s undoubtedly spring here on California’s Central Coast:
The little bit of rain we got in January greened things up:
Blues and purples on a more typical overcast beach morning:
I must be in a spring cleaning mood, too, since I’ve finished my taxes, cleaned out my closet and pantry (an on-going process), got the car serviced, and planted my very first tomato plants in the last 10 days or so (I have two of these self-watering planter boxes):
There’s definitely change and progress and growth happening, evidenced by exquisite new life:
Mom and foal live at the local University; the little one seen here at a mere 12 hours old:
Nursing and learning to run are very tiring for little ones:
I’m trying to get to the farmers’ markets more and I almost missed cherimoya season this year, otherwise known as the most delicious fruit in the whole world:
Daisies must be the happiest flower of all:
Ran into a local celeb at the market too, 86 years young:
Snacked on some mini avos foraged from my mom’s yard:
Taking time to watch the lotus blossoms floating on lily pads:
Rather than fearing the changes happening, I’m trying to observe and embrace it all. You could say I’m taking it one step at a time, pun intended:
Happy spring!!! ????
