Happy Healthy Vegan Friday to you! I hope these warm days of summer are treating you well. It’s been a busy week for me, so let’s get right into some recipes for the weekend.
Healthy Vegan Friday:
As you probably know, I co-host a weekly recipe link-up party called Healthy Vegan Fridays where bloggers submit their whole food, plant-based creations. You can see all of the recipes submitted last week in the thumbnails at the end of this post.
We instituted a new system of voting last week where you were able to “like” your favorite recipes to be featured. Here are the winners!
My favorites (my selections include recipes made using minimal oil, salt, or added sugars):
1. Best Summer Side Dish – Paulie’s Slaw from An Unrefined Vegan:
2. Best Hot Weather Salad – Cucumber and Sweet Red Pepper Salad from Nom Yum Free:
3. Best Seasonal Dessert – Easy Fig Pudding from Healthy Vegan Vegan:
Easiest Summer Salad – Quinoa Bean Salad from Nutmeg Notebook:
Best Summer Smoothie – Iced Pear Protein Smoothie from Candida Diet Plan:
Thank you to everyone who participated in this community recipe link-up! To submit your recipe, please use the link below and be sure to “like” your favorite recipe from this week, there is no registration or log-in required to vote. Also, there is a Healthy Vegan Friday board on Pinterest, you can find it here.
Vegan Delish Updates:
My recipe app was featured in the latest “Vegucated Guide” for Vegan Tech here! What an honor. Have you seen the movie Vegucated? It’s one of my favorites.
Vegan Delish features over 100 healthy recipes that are also 100% gluten-free and made using whole food ingredients. You can download it for your iPhone or iPad here. The most recent recipes added include submissions by the uber-talented Helyn from Helyn’s Healthy Kitchen, including her Buckwheat Pancakes with Maple Cashew Cream (yum!!!):
Helyn’s lovely Zucchini Corn Fritters are also featured on Vegan Delish:
I hope you have a healthy, happy weekend! I’ll be back on Tuesday with a new recipe. Until then, please keep in touch on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, or Google+ and don’t forget to help keep my blog going by downloading my recipe app, Vegan Delish, on the iTunes store here.
