Vegan Coconut Banana Nice Cream
You’re going to love how easy it is to make this Vegan Coconut Banana Nice Cream recipe! It’s a delicious vegan and dairy-free dessert that you can make with only four ingredients.
Ingredients
Vegan banana nice cream is just about the easiest recipe you could ever make. You do need frozen bananas as well as a food processor (I like this one), but those are the only two requirements. In other words, you don’t need an ice cream maker or any extra freezing time to make this creamy dessert.
For this coconut banana version, I just used frozen bananas, coconut cream, dates, and some ground turmeric for extra color and nutrition. Turmeric adds that pop of bright yellow, and it’s anti-inflammatory.
Recipe Steps
Step One
Simply combine the ingredients into the base of a food processor. Let it run for about 5 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides, if necessary.
As always, please do see the recipe card at the end of this post for the exact ingredients and measurements.
Step Two
Serve the ice cream immediately after you make it. This recipe doesn’t not freeze well to serve later because it freezes very hard.
If you do want to freeze any leftovers, you will have to let them defrost for about 15 minutes at room temperature before serving.
I served this vegan and paleo-friendly Coconut Banana Ice Cream in parfait glasses with sliced bananas to make them pretty for you. Did I mention this dessert tastes like a banana cream pie? It’s so sweet and creamy!
FAQs
It’s better to let your bananas ripen until they are spotted, and then remove them from the peel. I like to freeze them in zip-top bags in groups of 6 or 8 halved bananas. See my guide on how to freeze bananas.
Yes, but it’s much harder to blend and you will have to keep stopping the blender to scrape or tamp down the sides. Trust me, a food processor is the best way to go!
Yes, absolutely! Feel free to adapt this recipe any way you like.
