Ingredients

  • 1 pound carrots, scrubbed well with the tops removed (about 6 medium carrots)
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. Cut the carrots into large pieces, no longer than about 2 inches to help ease the blending process.
  2. Add the chopped carrots to the base. Blend or process on high for 20-30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth. You may need to use the tamper to push the carrots into the blade.
  3. Then, pour the blended juice through a nut milk bag, squeezing from the top to catch the carrot juice into a pitcher or bowl. Discard the fiber or save it and use it for another purpose.
  4. Serve the juice immediately, or transfer it to a jar with a lid and store in the fridge for up to 4 days.

Notes

  1. Depending on the freshness of your carrots, this recipe should yield between 10-12 ounces.
  2. You don’t have to peel the carrots for this recipe. Just make sure they are scrubbed well and clean.
  3. Fresh juice is best served right after it’s made. But, it can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  4. You can also make this recipe in a juicer. You don’t need to strain the juice if you use a juicer.
