This Iced Americano Recipe is a great way to enjoy this classic coffee drink, but served cold instead of hot. It’s refreshing on hot summer days. Learn how to make the perfect iced Americano.

  • Total Time: 12 minutes
  • Yield: 1 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 shots espresso (2 ounces total)
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew your espresso.
  2. Fill a glass with ice.
  3. Top the ice with the brewed espresso.
  4. Add any sweetener or milk (optional), and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. Feel free to add milk and sugar to your cold coffee drink once it’s made. A traditional iced Americano is served plain, but you can adapt it to your taste.
  2. You can use decaf espresso if you want to reduce the caffeine content to almost zero (please note that even decaf coffee usually has a few milligrams of caffeine).
  3. Pro tip: don’t add any cold water to your iced Americano as it will water it down too much. Let the ice do that.
