This delicious Pear Juice recipe is a great way to enjoy fall flavors. The juice uses pears, apples, and ginger to make a refreshing seasonal beverage. Learn how to make it in a juicer or a blender.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 2 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 pears, cored and chopped
  • 2 red or green apples, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 lemon, peeled
  • 1 one-half inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 cup water (if using a blender)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for adding more fall flavor)

Instructions

  1. Cut the produce into large pieces that will fit through the feeding tube of a juicer. If you will be using a blender to make your juice, then cut your produce into smaller pieces than if you are using a juicer.
  2. If you are using a juicer, then run the produce through the juicer. Collect the juice in a pitcher. Stir in the ground cinnamon and serve immediately.
  3. If you are using a food processor or blender, add the pears, apples, lemon, ginger, and water to the base. Blend or process on high for 20-30 seconds, or until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Then, pour the blended juice through a nut milk bag, squeezing it from the top down to drain the juice into a pitcher. Discard the collected pulp, or save it and use it for another purpose.
  5. Stir the ground cinnamon into the juice and serve immediately.

Notes

  1. You can easily double or triple this recipe for more servings.
  2. Fresh juice is best served right after it’s made. But, it can be stored in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
  3. If you want to lower the natural sugar content of this recipe, swap out the apples for 2 English cucumbers, instead. You’ll still get the pear flavor, but it won’t be as sweet.
