Vegan Black Bean Brownies

You'll never guess that these Black Bean Brownies include beans! They are so full of fudgy chocolate flavor. Everyone loves these vegan brownies.

– Nonstick cooking spray – ground flax seeds – water – can black beans – almond butter or peanut butter – unsweetened applesauce – maple syrup – vanilla extract – all-purpose flour (for gluten-free, use a gluten-free baking flour) – cocoa powder – baking soda – baking powder – chocolate chips

INGREDIENTS:

STEP 1

Combine the black beans, nut butter, applesauce, maple syrup, vanilla extract, flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and baking powder in a food processor or high-speed blender. Add the gelled mixture of ground flax seeds and water. Process on high until the ingredients are combined (about 30-45 seconds).

STEP 2

Stir or pulse in the chocolate chips and transfer the brownie batter into your baking dish.

STEP 3

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the middle is no longer jiggly and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
