Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 head green cabbage
- 2 tablespoons butter or ghee, melted (for vegan or dairy-free diets, use vegan butter)
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Roughly chop your cabbage into large pieces or slices (you don’t want to shred or cut the cabbage too small that they will fall through the openings of your air fryer basket).
- Place the cabbage in a medium mixing bowl. Add the butter or ghee, salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
- Transfer the cabbage to your air fryer basket. Set the time to 350°F for 6 minutes.
- After the 6 minutes are up, open the basket and toss the cabbage gently.
- Set the timer to cook for 4-6 more minutes, or until the cabbage is wilted and slightly browned. Be careful that it doesn’t burn.
- Serve warm.
Notes
- Some air fryer models needs to be preheated. Please refer to the owner’s manual of your particular model to see if you need to preheat it before using.
- You can melt your butter or ghee in a small saucepan on the stovetop, or in a small bowl in the microwave.
- This recipe can easily be doubled depending on the size of your air fryer.
- The cabbage pieces can overlap in the air fryer basket. Just be sure to shake or stir them halfway through the cooking process so they cook evenly.
