Use your air fryer to easily and efficiently make Air Fryer Soft Boiled Eggs. The white gets cooked through and the egg yolk is soft and yummy. Everyone loves this classic breakfast dish.

  • Total Time: 15 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Place the eggs in the basket of your air fryer.
  2. Set the time to 270°F for 8 minutes.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the ice and water to make an ice bath.
  4. When the cooking time is up, use a large serving spoon to carefully transfer the cooked eggs to the ice bath.
  5. Let the eggs sit in the ice bath for just 1-2 minutes to stop the cooking process.
  6. Then, place each egg in a serving cup. Carefully remove about the top inch of the peel of each egg. Enjoy the egg with a spoon.

Notes

  1. You can easily double or even triple this recipe depending on how big your air fryer basket is. Just try to leave a little space between each egg in the basket and do not overlap the eggs.
  2. I used eggs straight from the refrigerator. If you eggs are at room temperature, then you may need to reduce the cook time by 1-2 minutes.
  3. Soft boiled eggs are best served right after they are made.
  4. Some air fryer models needs to be preheated. Please refer to the owner’s manual of your particular model to see if you need to preheat it before using.
  5. Also, please note that air fryers vary from model to model. If you think your air fryer runs hot, then you may want to reduce the cooking time for these eggs to just 7 minutes. Then, cut the end off one egg to see if the white is cooked through. If the egg white is still runny, then place the egg back into the basket and cook for 1-2 minutes longer (you can prop up the egg that you opened with a little ball of aluminum foil so the egg doesn’t spill).
