You don’t have to be a mom to be tired and overworked, but I have mad respect for anyone raising little ones in today’s world. I picked items for this particular gift guide to be appropriate for anyone who could use a little extra healthy energy.

1. Matcha Collagen

Matcha and collagen is such a brilliant combination because it makes it so easy to just add a scoop to your breakfast smoothie or oatmeal. The energy from matcha is nice because it shouldn’t make you jittery like coffee. Just stir in a scoop to your favorite smoothie or hot beverage.

2. BeautyBits

3. Cacao Powder

Adding cacao powder to my smoothies and desserts is one of my favorite ways to add a healthy energy boost, not to mention tons of antioxidants and a great chocolate flavor. It also covers up the color of all those greens I had to my smoothies (check out my dairy-free Anti-Cancer Green Breakfast Smoothie).

I like finding brands of cacao powder that are fair-trade and organic, and Navitas is a great brand.

4. Blendtec High Speed Blender

You’ve heard me rave for years about my love of a good high-speed blender. I use mine every single day, sometime more than once a day. Blendtec is a great brand, and you can find them on Amazon.

Smoothies are such a perfect breakfast or meal replacement for busy people, and they can be super energizing too! Smoothies are generally really easy to digest and can help cram in a ton of nutrients in just one serving. See all my dairy-free smoothie recipes.

5. Peppermint Oil

I love to diffuse peppermint oil in the morning since it’s so energizing and uplifting. Peppermint makes the house smell fresh and lively, too. Do you have a diffuser? I have this one in a bamboo finish and I love it.

6. Mushroom Elixer

One of the best things I did for my health this year was to give up caffeine. I’m not saying that coffee is bad for you, but it was bad for me. I can’t even do caffeinated tea anymore because I found it was triggering migraines.

I do love having a hot beverage after breakfast, though, so I’ve turned to healthier options, like this Cordyceps mushroom elixir. Don’t know it until you’ve tried it!

7. The Thyroid Connection book

One of the biggest health complaints I hear from people is that they are tired. Sometimes fatigue is a result of something worse than just over-working. Anyone who has unexplained weight gain and low energy, especially after childbirth, should read this book.

8. B-Vitamins

You might be surprised to know that you could be deficient in B vitamins, especially if you’re stressed or your diet isn’t always the best. Taking a simple B vitamin complex could be one of the easiest ways to increase your energy. For that reason, it’s not recommended to take B vitamins at night. Take one in the morning and you should feel the difference in about 30 minutes!

9. Light Therapy Lamp

Low energy as the result of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) is a real thing, especially at this time of year. Sitting in front of a therapeutic lamp while you’re working or having your coffee in the morning can make all the difference.

I have one, although I haven’t used it much lately since it’s been pretty sunny here in CA. Also, I just got back from a trip to Hawaii where I got a ton of sunshine. This lamp is pretty and has an adjustable dial.
