  • It’s the perfect way to use up extra zucchini and a delicious way to eat your vegetables!
  • The air fryer crisps up the zucchini better than the oven while the inside stays tender and delicious.

Key Ingredients

Ingredients for air fryer zucchini chips.
  • Zucchini is a versatile ingredient that tastes amazing in savory or sweet recipes. It pairs well with salty parmesan for these tasty zucchini chips. Look for firm and dark green zucchini with no brown spots.
  • Olive oil allows the zucchini and parmesan to crisp up nicely.
  • Italian seasoning adds a one-ingredient burst of flavor with spices like oregano, basil, thyme, and rosemary. Feel free to change it up though. If you have a favorite seasoning you can use that in place of Italian seasoning.
  • Parmesan cheese gets nice and crispy when it cooks which makes it perfect for chip and snack recipes. If you’re on a dairy-free diet, look for vegan Parmesan cheese in the refrigerator aisle of your local health food store.

  • This recipe can also be made using yellow squash.
  • Vegan parmesan can be found in the refrigerator section of most natural food stores.
  • Parmesan has a predominately salty, nutty flavor and goes great with many different flavor profiles. Feel free to use your favorite seasoning mix in place of Italian seasoning, if you prefer.
  • Make zucchini fries by cutting your zucchini into fry shapes instead of slices. But, be sure that they aren’t any thicker than 1/4-inch, otherwise they won’t get crispy.

Recipe FAQs

Can I stack the zucchini chips?

It’s best to place the chips in an even layer so the hot air can circulate the chips and crisp them up. If you have too many zucchini rounds you can always cook them in batches.

Are zucchini chips keto friendly?

One whole zucchini has only 6 grams of carbs which makes it a perfect option for keto diets. Since these zucchini chips have no breading just parmesan cheese they make an excellent snack for those on a keto diet.
