This green bean recipe is a healthy side dish that is also naturally gluten-free, low carb, paleo, vegan, vegetarian, and Whole30-friendly.

Serve this air fryer recipe at the holidays or with almost any main dish. This healthy and perfect side dish goes great with your favorite cooked protein, such as Gluten-Free Chicken Teriyaki, Instant Pot Pork Chops and Rice, Slow Cooker Tri Tip, or Air Fryer Crispy Tofu.

The normal way to make crispy green beans is to cook them with a lot of oil on the stovetop or in the oven. In this air-fryer method, you just need to give the beans a toss with a little bit of oil to get super crispy, perfectly cooked and tender green beans.

Let me show you how easy it is with just a handful of ingredients!

Recipe Steps

Step One

Wash and pat dry your fresh green beans. Trim the ends off and cut them in half, if you wish.

You can also find trimmed green beans in the produce aisle at the grocery store if you wish to skip this step.

Step Two

Place the trimmed green beans in a bowl and toss with the oil, salt, black pepper, dried garlic, and vinegar.

Please see the recipe card at the end of this post for the exact ingredients and measurements.

Step Three

Set air fryer temperature to 400°F for and cook time of 12 minutes.

You can shake the air fryer basket once during the cooking process, but you don’t have to. I cooked mine for 12 minutes straight and they were perfect.

Step Four

Use tongs to transfer your cooked green beans to a large bowl and serve warm. This really is a very easy side dish that uses less oil than if you were to cook them in the oven or on the stovetop.

I hope your family loves this green bean recipe as much as mine does! This green beans recipe is an easy way to add a vegetable side dish to a normal weeknight dinner. Or, you can serve this as a great side dish for the holidays.
