Broccoli Juice Recipe (Juicer or Blender)
Broccoli juice might sound off-putting, but it can be surprisingly tasty and incredibly nutritious. Here’s a recipe for a flavorful and refreshing Broccoli Juice Recipe that also includes cucumber, ginger, and lemon. Let me show you how to make this easy green juice in a juicer or a blender.
This broccoli juice is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants.
Broccoli is a cruciferous vegetable that contains compounds like sulforaphane, which has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties by fighting free radicals.
Additionally, the cucumber and celery add hydration and a refreshing taste, while the apple and lemon provide sweetness and acidity, balancing out the flavors of the vegetables.
Green juices can be a great way to meet your daily recommendation of veggie intake. I think you’re going to love this recipe that is also a part of my list of best juice cleanse recipes!
Key Ingredients
Broccoli florets
Broccoli is the star ingredient in this juice, providing a mild, earthy flavor with a hint of sweetness. It also adds a vibrant green color to the juice.
Additionally, broccoli is rich in vitamin C, vitamin K, and folate, as well as antioxidants like sulforaphane, which contribute to its health benefits and flavor profile.
Look for organic broccoli at the grocery store.
Cucumber
Cucumber adds a refreshing and mild taste to the juice, balancing out the stronger flavors of the broccoli and ginger.
Its high water content also helps to hydrate the body, making the juice more thirst-quenching and palatable.
Green apple
Green apple brings a natural sweetness to the juice without overpowering the other flavors. Its tartness adds a pleasant acidity, which enhances the overall taste profile.
Lemon
Lemon provides a bright, citrusy flavor that helps to elevate the taste of the juice. Its acidity adds a refreshing tanginess, balancing the sweetness of the apple and the earthiness of the broccoli.
Fresh lemon juice is also a great source of vitamin C which benefits the immune system.
Ginger
Ginger adds a subtle warmth and spiciness to the juice, complementing the flavors of the other ingredients.
Its aromatic properties create depth and complexity in the flavor profile. I always keep fresh ginger in my kitchen to add to juicing recipes.
