Lamb is one of those proteins many people are unsure how to cook. They are afraid it will taste gamey or unfamiliar. And, because lamb tends to be more expensive than other types of meat, the fear of messing it up means losing money.

I promise this air fryer method will give you kitchen confidence with lamb chops!

Why You Need This Recipe

  • Using an air fryer means your lamb will be perfectly cooked. It’s simpler than the grill or oven and faster too.
  • Besides flipping them over once, using the air fryer means they are cooking out of sight without constantly worrying how they are doing.
  • Dinner is ready in 30 minutes.
  • Fast enough for a weeknight dinner, these lamb loin chops are fancy enough for any holiday meal.

Key Ingredients

Ingredients to make air fryer lamb chops set out on a white surface.

Lamb loin chops are different than just lamb chops, so read your labels carefully. These are a very smooth and tender cut of meat and will be a pleasure to cook and eat. They also tend to be thinner than regular lamb chops.

Olive oil gives us just enough fat to get browning which adds extra flavor.

Salt & pepper give a boost to flavor while the garlic powder adds just enough to let meat still shine.

Recipe FAQs

Can I use regular lamb chops in this recipe?

Yes. The lamb loin chop is basically like a beef sirloin. It has the same t-bone and is very tender. The lamb chop is more from the ribs and might not be quite as tender, but will still cook the same.

What if I don’t have olive oil?

Avocado oil is also a great high-temperature oil to use in this recipe.

How do I know when lamb is done?

Use an instant-read thermometer to check for the chop to be at 145°F.
