The flesh of an avocado is yellow or green and has a creamy texture. In addition, it has a rich, nutty flavor.

Avocados are native to south-central Mexico. Today they are primarily grown in Mexico, Peru, California, Indonesia, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.

There are several different types of avocados, so be sure to try different varieties to see which ones you like best (I personally like the Haas type the best).

Additionally, avocados are a source of healthy fat and a contributor to good health and a strong immune system.

2. Breadfruit

Breadfruit is a round or oval-shaped fruit with a green color on the outside and is bumpy. The inside of the fruit is white, and it has a starchy texture. It has a slightly sweet, watery flavor.

Breadfruit is native to New Guinea, and today it is primarily grown in New Guinea, the Maldives, Seychelles, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, northern Australia, South Florida, Africa, Hawaii, India, Southeast Asia, and Madagascar. They are very much a tropical fruit.

I have never eaten breadfruit raw, but I have eaten it in desserts while on vacation in Hawaii.

3. Custard Apple

Custard apples are a type of fruit with a green or yellow color on the outside with a skin that looks similar to a pinecone. They are also known as cherimoya. The fruit’s flesh is soft and white and has a creamy, tropical flavor.

If you’ve never had one, you must try one! They have a delicious taste, and have a sweet and creamy flavor that is unlike anything else.

Custard apples are native to the West Indies. Today they are grown in Central America, Southern Mexico, California, Peru, Brazil, the Bahamas, Bermuda, and South Florida.

Custard apples are a good source of potassium and magnesium.

4. Gooseberries

Gooseberries are a type of fruit that is green, red, or white gold on the outside. The flesh of the gooseberry is tart with a slight sweetness.

Gooseberries are native to Europe and Asia. Today they are grown in Europe, Asia, and North America.

Green grapes are native to the Mediterranean Region. Today they are grown in Chile, Argentina, South Africa, New Zealand, North America, Europe, and Australia.

There are lots of varieties of green grapes; my husband is obsessed with the Cotton Candy green grapes. It’s one of his favorite fruits.

Mexican sour cucumbers are native to and primarily grown in Mexico and Central America. Mexican sour cucumbers are an excellent source of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and fiber.

I have never seen one of these fruits in person, but the photo shows that they are about the size of a golf ball.

11. Noni

Noni is a type of fruit that has a green color on the outside and a bumpy texture. The flesh of the noni is yellowish-white and tastes like a ripened cheese.

Noni is native to Southeast Asia. Today it is grown in Southeast Asia, Northern Australia, and throughout the topics.

Noni is an excellent source of Vitamin C and folate.

12. Osage Orange

Osage oranges are a type of fruit with a green color on the outside. The flesh of these green oranges is white and can have a bitter flavor, although it is sometimes called a Sweet Green Orange.

They are usually more yellow than green, but the underripe Ugli fruit are green. And, yes, they are ugly!
