Banana Peach Smoothie (Dairy-Free & Vegan)
You’re going to love this creamy Banana Peach Smoothie. It’s refreshing and full of fresh summer flavors. This simple smoothie has only six ingredients and is vegan-friendly. You can use fresh or frozen peaches.
Smoothies are a great way to get healthy fruit into your diet. You can often “hide” fruits and veggies that aren’t your favorite as the flavors can be covered up by stronger fruit you enjoy.
In this case, I used frozen bananas and frozen peaches as the base of this frosty smoothie that can be made with or without dairy.
Why You Need This Recipe
- Frozen fruit preserves the best taste. Perfectly ripe fruit is frozen so you can enjoy it at any time of year.
- A smoothie comes together in just minutes and can be served as an easy breakfast, snack, or dessert. This easy recipe is full of peach flavor and is perfect for peach season or at any time of year!
- This Banana Peach Smoothie recipe fits many diets. You can make it vegan or not, depending on dietary needs.
Key Ingredients
- Peaches bring bright summer tastes to a refreshing, ice cold glass of smoothie. You can use fresh peaches or frozen peaches.
- Banana adds natural sweetness and a fluffy texture. I recommend using a frozen banana to help keep the smoothie thick. See my guide on how to freeze bananas for smoothies.
- Yogurt can add protein as well as thicken up the smoothie. I used dairy-free coconut yogurt, but you can also use greek yogurt or plain yogurt if you aren’t on a dairy-free diet.
- Milk of your choice helps blend everything smoothly. I used unsweetened almond milk, but you can use your favorite milk including coconut milk, soy milk, oat milk, or even dairy milk if you tolerate dairy.
- A touch of maple syrup or honey helps bring together just the right sweetness.
- Vanilla smooths out the flavor and makes it taste almost like ice cream!

Recipe Tips
- You can use two fresh sliced peaches instead of frozen peaches, if you prefer. But, you may need to add a few ice cubes to thicken the smoothie if you use fresh fruit.
- If you aren’t on a vegan or dairy-free diet, you can use regular dairy yogurt in this recipe.
- To make this a meal replacement smoothie, feel free to add 1-2 scoops of your favorite protein powder. See my list of the best paleo protein powders. You can also add 1-2 tablespoons of hemp seeds or ground flax seeds to add more fiber and healthy fats.
- If you want to add vegetables to this smoothie without affecting the color, add up to ½ cup of frozen riced cauliflower.
Recipe FAQs
As long as you use all dairy-free options and maple syrup as the sweetener, then yes, it is vegan! Keep in mind that honey isn’t considered vegan. You can of course use cows’ milk options if you aren’t allergic and use them in your regular diet.
Of course! Just keep in mind the ratio of frozen items to liquid so that your blender works properly. Use blueberries in place of half the peaches for a fun combination.
Yes! You can use orange juice or even peach nectar instead of milk if you prefer. If you do use fruit juice, then you likely will not need any added sweetener.
