Oranges are a great healthy food that are full of vitamin C and antioxidants.

People most often drink orange juice or eat oranges whole. This recipe for Vitamix Orange Juice combines both of those methods into one healthy blended drink.

One of the benefits of blending the orange instead of juicing it is that you will consume the fiber and some of the pith of the orange. The pith is the white part that is underneath the skin, and orange pith is healthy too!

Juice FAQs

I don’t have a Vitamix. Can I make this in a regular blender?

Yes, you can! It may not be as smooth, but it will still be delicious.

Do I need to pick out the seeds?

You can pick out some of the seeds if your oranges have a lot of seeds, but you don’t have to.

Can I blend my oranges with the peel on?

I do not recommend blending the oranges with the peel as your juice will be very bitter. Remove most of the peel but you can leave on the white part under the peel (the pith).

Do I need to strain the juice?

No, that is the point of this recipe. But, if you have picky eaters or you just prefer a juice texture as opposed to a thin smoothie texture, you can strain the juice through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer.
